Annual meeting of the french CPJ community>

CPJ meeting

About the meeting

Who we are?

Our mission is to foster connections, share resources, and promote mutual growth among laureates of the Chaire Professeur.e Junior (CPJ, a French tenured position). We are a fast-growing group community connecting researchers from all over France, operating in diverse fields. Our members represent the diversity of French universities and research institutes.

THE EVENT

The meeting will take place on June 18th & 19th 2026, at the Auberge de Jeunesse in St Malo.

This meeting will be an opportunity to share, promote, and support our work. It is addressed to all CPJs in France, representatives of universities and research institutes (CNRS, INRIA, INSERM....), representatives of universities and research institutes (CNRS, INRIA, INSERM....), representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, and delegates of the French Directorate-General for Research and Innovation.

There will be scientific presentations covering a large panel of disciplines, including Mathematics/Computer Science/Technologies, Physics/Chemistry/Processes, Life and Earth Sciences, and Human and Social Sciences. In addition, we are organizing conferences on several key topics, including Open science practices, Academic freedom, European and French research funding, and issues related to Reproducibility and replicability in science

Why should you come?

  • You will have the opportunity to meet other CPJ laureates and former CPJ holders. Several sessions are planned to encourage discussions and exchanges about our current and future challenges.
  • Two ‘tenured’ CPJ will present their CPJ-history (recruitment, final assessments, HDR, salary….)
  • You are also invited to submit an abstract to present an ongoing or future research project. As participants come from a wide range of scientific backgrounds, presentations should be accessible and understandable to a broad audience.
